In 2003, I purchased the Microsoft Office Home and Business 2003 software from Las Vegas Office Depot. If I remember right, I paid US$209.99 (plus 6% sales tax). In 2007, I bought the Microsoft Office Home and Business 2007 software from Las Vegas OfficeMax for US$299.99 (plus 7% sales tax). If I'm going to buy Microsoft Office Home and Business 2013, I have to pay US$399.99 (plus 8.1% sales tax) to either Las Vegas Office Depot or OfficeMax.
It was good that in 2009 or 2010, OpenOffice Productivity Suite version 3 was available and I downloaded it to my desktop computer. I downloaded the same software to a laptop computer which I gave as a gift to my niece who was studying in high school.
By using the OpenOffice Productivity Suite, I was able to save substantial money by not buying the Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 and Microsoft Office Home and Business 2013.
On September 28, 2013, I visited the OpenOffice.org website and I downloaded the new OpenOffice Productivity Suite version 4. The new version has a sidebar of menus on the right of the computer screen. The software downloading to my laptop computer took about 18 minutes.
What can you find in

OpenOffice Productivity Suite consist of six (6) integrated application programs such as:
1. WRITER. It is a word processor that you can use for anything for writing a short letter to composing a 1,000-page book.
2. CALC. It is a spreadsheet creating program where you can enter, calculate, analyze, and present your textual and numerical data in report and graphic formats.
3. IMPRESS. It is a fast and powerful program to create effective and impressive multimedia presentations.
4. DRAW. It is a drawing program to create simple diagrams to complex and dynamic 3D illustrations.
5. BASE. It is a database creation program where you can enter data, create and modify database tables, forms, queries, and reports.
6. MATH. It is a program where you can create mathematical equations and formulas with a dynamic graphic user interface.

Since the OpenOffice Productivity Suite is translated in more than 170 languages, it can be used by any of the following:
